About stephXstitch
StephXstitch is home to my original handmade cross stitch art, kits, patterns, and signed books. I specialize in cheeky, subversive, and pop culture cross stitch!
I am the author of the books "Feminist Cross-Stitch" and "Self-Care Cross Stitch". You can get them wherever books are sold, and you can get signed copies here on my site.
My stitches have been featured in Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, The Chicago Reader, Time Out Chicago, Cross-Stitcher Magazine, London Sunday Times, Craft Room Crash, Paste Magazine, Town & Country Magazine, GoodHousekeeping.com, MrXStitch, Mashable, Crafternews.com, Steotch.com, Bust.com, OC Weekly, My Modern Met, and Uproxx.
My work has also appeared on Comedy Central's "Key & Peele", HBO's "We're Here", and in a TV commercial for the Chicago Blackhawks.
All items are designed and handmade by Steph in a smoke-free and pet-free environment. It is also likely that Netflix, Lifetime Original Movies, and the wearing of a Snuggie were involved in the creation of these items.

About Steph
I am an artist, teacher, actor, and musician who resides in Chicago. I learned the art of cross-stitch from my grandmother and my mom when I was a wee child.
I got back into it as a hobby and a way to give unique gifts to friends and family. I especially get a kick out of making traditional samplers with naughty words and pop-culture references. I also love the meditative and therapeutic benefits of stitching.
I have now been selling online for over 13 years and pride myself in excellent products and customer service. I am the smallest of small businesses. This is a one-woman operation and lots of time and love goes into each and every one of my handcrafted pieces and original designs.
I can also be found selling in-person at Art Fairs and Crafts shows in the Chicago area, as well as teaching BYOB cross-stitch classes.
